Peptide Therapy

Provider-directed peptide therapy, prescribed only when your labs, history, and goals support it

What is Peptide Therapy?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules in the body, instructing cells to perform specific functions. At Hill Tribe, peptide therapy is prescribed and supervised by a licensed provider as one part of a broader, lab-guided treatment plan.

Peptides are prescription medications. Our medical team recommends only peptides that can be lawfully obtained through a licensed, state-regulated pharmacy, and we are candid about which peptides have meaningful human evidence and which do not.

Peptide therapy consultation and treatment

The evidence behind individual peptides varies widely. During your consultation, your provider will review what the research actually shows for your goals, whether that is recovery, body composition, sleep, or healthy aging, and whether a peptide protocol is appropriate for you at all.

Important Information About Peptide Therapy

Peptide therapy is a prescription treatment. Before starting, understand the following:

  • Many peptides have limited or no human clinical trial data. Your provider will tell you what the evidence does and does not show for your goals.
  • Compounded peptides are prepared by a licensed pharmacy for an individual patient and are not FDA-approved products. Their safety and effectiveness have not been evaluated by the FDA.
  • Possible side effects include injection-site reactions, headache, nausea, fatigue, water retention, changes in blood sugar, and allergic reaction. Some peptides can affect hormone levels and require lab monitoring.
  • Some peptides are prohibited for athletes under anti-doping rules. Hill Tribe does not prescribe peptides for athletic performance enhancement.
  • Peptides are not appropriate for people who are pregnant or nursing, or who have a history of cancer, without specific provider review.

You will review and sign a peptide-specific informed consent before any peptide is prescribed.

Individual results vary and no outcome is guaranteed. Tell your provider about all medical conditions, medications, and supplements before starting any treatment.

Prescription and Patient Information

Hormone therapy, peptide therapy, and GLP-1 medications are prescription treatments. They are prescribed only after an evaluation by a licensed Hill Tribe provider, including a review of your medical history and lab work, and only when your provider determines that treatment is medically appropriate for you. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance. It is prescribed and monitored in accordance with federal law and Florida law.

Some medications we prescribe are compounded. Compounded medications are prepared for an individual patient by a state-licensed pharmacy and are not FDA-approved products. Your provider will tell you whether a medication is compounded or FDA-approved and why it was chosen for you. Prescriptions are filled by licensed pharmacies; Hill Tribe does not sell prescription medication online.

Hill Tribe provides in-office care at our Tampa clinic and telehealth care to adults located in Florida. Individual results vary and no outcome is guaranteed.
